First I have heard of it. Good news if true I guess. Will I play it? That game was always a mess and I don't care how many magical patches came out to "save" it. Also the community is likely full of insufferable losers anyways. It'd be interesting to hear the story about how they got it connected without PSN but I imagine since it eventually became a downloadedable game ColdFront introduced cheating on a scale not seen since S2 that they figured a way to emulate a server or something for it.
I didn't recognize any names other than Ranger and Eagle but I heard some of my old pals were indeed playing it. I'd give it a shot but with the gatekeeping for access, no thanks.
Why would you even need to stress test by slow rolling when you just need something that'll host a couple hundred tops? I always hate this clique type delivery. The proximity chat and your enemy being forced to hear you while they're dead always provided a layer of shit talk I haven't seen since. Using the audio against your enemy to identify and eliminate the threat was also priceless. You were rewarded by the game handsomely with a decent 5. Crazy ass sober fun. Posting Freak.
