Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published. And will show the same error. I do not see any troubleshoot button. Problem persists as if it's not in safe mode. I did not need to do that since when I opened the registry, the value already shown as 4.
I can delete the registry in normal mode and safe mode without a problem. I can set the permission. It says it cannot delete the file or the file is not visible to fileassassin. Showed this: And cannot be deleted in the next system restart.
What should I do? Thanks in advance. Hallo, and welcome to the forums. To be honest i doubt this will make a difference, but you can also try this removal tool: Alcohol Soft Product Support.
Last edited by Terramex : Thank you for your response. Clicking "add files" will take me to homepage of this forum. Perhaps because I'm using internet explorer. And yes, the alchohol SPTD remover says unable to delete sptd.
I'm not part of the support team, so that's just the way i would proceed. I'm not employed by Disc Soft and my views do not necessarily reflect the ones of the company. Mobile Security. Sorry for the late reply. I run HD Regenerator Almost monthly on my main drive, and the recent intake of files to my system drive is due to me having to back up a computer of a friends. I assure you, the problems happened before I became laden with files. Most of the time, I have to manually restart the Network Location Awareness.
I'm suspicious because as I said at least I think I did , Avast had found things it could not remove, then, magically it couldn't find them anymore, without any input from me. Task Manager never had that spike beforehand. Thanks again, greatly, Cyrus D. Yes as it is a hidden file - but you notice that it does not allow you to take any action with it But lets see if there is anything else hiding Download the GMER Rootkit Scanner.
Unzip it to your Desktop. Before scanning, make sure all other running programs are closed and no other actions like a scheduled antivirus scan will occur while the scan is being performed. Do not use your computer for anything else during the scan. Double-click gmer. The program will begin to run.
If possible rootkit activity is found, you will be asked if you would like to perform a full scan. Click NO In the right panel, you will see a bunch of boxes that have been checked Now click the Scan button. Once the scan is complete, you may receive another notice about rootkit activity. Click OK. GMER will produce a log. Click on the [Save.. Post the contents of GMER.
Scanning now Will return once finished. Ok - I don't suppose you remember what Avast found? Not in the least, sadly. I'd wager its stored in the logs though!
