Cable Lay. Qinsy 9 Most popular! The suite of applications can be used for various types of surveys, ranging from simple single beam surveys up to complex offshore construction works. QINSy is an integrated navigation system software package used extensively worldwide for acquiring and processing multibeam data. An array of real-time quality assurance tools and displays are available to the online surveyor who is arguably in the best position to determine if collected data meets survey specifications.
In addition to displaying the raw uncorrected multibeam data, the Swath Display shows the data fully corrected for motion, refraction and height. Data pre-cleaning during acquisition is possible if the surveyor activates certain clipping filters and de-spiking methods. One of the main features in the Processing Manager is the navigation surface, which is a dynamic grid that updates itself as soon a modification to one or more of the QPD files is done.
QINSy interfaces to most side scan sonar SSS systems commonly used in the hydrographic industry, whether they are hull-mounted, or towed behind the vessel housed in a fish.
Kalman filters of various strengths are available to smooth the track. If more than one method is employed to position the fish, QINSy will show and compare both positions.
The Profile Display provides a side view of the fish relative to the towing vessel, sea surface and seabed DTM. A real-time waterfall type display is used to present the imagery data itself. Interesting features can immediately be captured using various targeting tools, and stored as targets for future reference.
Target locations are shown in the Navigation Display as they are identified in the waterfall display. Real-time mosaicking of the imagery is done through normalization and slant range corrections. Replay - This application allows the user to change the database configuration and replay the data. Another option is to analyze the raw data that was gathered during the survey on a sensor basis.
Survey Manager - The Survey Manager's main function is support of a survey with the following functions:. Some processing related functionality is available such as exports and the access to the Validator. Apart from the basic applications there are a number of additional applications that may appear in the bottom half of the window.
These icons can be switched on or off depending on the wishes of the user. Generic Layout Editor - With this tool the user can define a display, an online Output String , a log File or Export from the database file. Remote Display Controller - The Controller can put all the online data on a local network; then the Remote Display Controller can display this data on every pc connected to this network.
Under the Help option in the Console press the 'View License Status' option to check on the licenses in use. Several Add-Ons are available. The permission on the dongle allows certain programs to run. The License Manager is a program that is used to install your license or, when it is already installed, to update it or to show the user which modules are enabled on that license and until which date the license is enabled.
When there is a time tag on the license, then there is an Expiration Date. The Support and Maintenance line indicates until which date you can download updates from the QPS website and receive support from the Support desk. Upgrading a license takes only a few seconds.
Qinsy Survey allows the user to store data on project basis. Template databases with the Project settings and Configuration as well as the Databases with logged data.
